Men's Soccer Falls to Bushnell

The Pioneers took on the Bushnell Beacons for their first home game of the season. The weather was a bit harsh at around 88 degrees throughout the match, but partial clouds helped the players with the heat.

Both teams showed that they both wanted to win, but it was the Beacons who took the lead with a header from Bushnell's Isaiah Robles with 30 seconds left which ended the first half 1-0 in favor of Bushnell.

In the second half the pioneers came out strong, which led to a goal by Issay Bravo making the game tied 1-1. Unfortunately, with around 20 minutes left, Bushnell's Caleb Burke scored to make it 2-1, winning the game for the Beacons.

For the Pioneers assists went to Jordan Baumback, and for the Beacons Jay Jay Van Der Veld and Michael Ho also recorded assists. Yellow cards were given out to Pioneer's Gianluca Durso; Kaleb Sabino and Jay Jay Van Der Veld of Bushnell. 

The Pioneers will play at Menlo on August 26th at 4 pm.
