Pacific Union College Women's Volleyball continues to add reinforcements to its already stacked
2025 recruiting class. Arianna Mathern of Fernley, Nevada, and Kaylie Deweese of Benicia,

Andrew Randolph continues to build a dynamic and close-knit team culture.

Arianna Mathern joins the Pioneers from Fernley High School, where she made a name for
herself on the court and in the classroom. She was named MVP of the Northern Nevada 3A
League, earned First Team Northern Nevada 3A All-League and First Team Nevada 3A All-State
honors, and was also recognized on the Nevada All-State Academic Team.
"I chose Pacific Union because I wanted to further my career in volleyball and it was a great
opportunity to do so," said Mathern. "Coach Jack and Andrew were a big part of the reason that
Pacific Union stuck out to me, and I'm excited for the upcoming season! Along with that, the
campus is beautiful and I feel I will reach my education goal as an accountant."
Kaylie Deweese – Benicia, California | 5'9" | Outside Hitter
Hailing from nearby Benicia High School, Kaylie Deweese adds depth and versatility to PUC's
outside hitting core. Known for her athleticism and energy, Deweese is also committed to
academic excellence and has set her sights on a degree in Biology with a focus on Veterinary
Science.
"I chose PUC because I felt like the campus was very 'me'," said Deweese. "The grounds were
beautiful, the campus seemed very close-knit, and the girls volleyball team were friendly and made me feel very welcome. I look forward to being part of a close team of great athletes who
strive to win. I plan to join the student community in various groups and events to get to know
others."
Coach Andrew shared his enthusiasm about the new recruits:
"Arianna and Kaylie are both incredibly motivated student-athletes who embody the values we
look for at PUC—discipline, teamwork, and a love for the game. We're thrilled to have them on
board and can't wait to see their impact both on and off the court."
With the addition of Mathern and Deweese, the Pioneers are poised for a competitive and
exciting 2025 season.
