Pioneers Secure First Win

Women's Basketball Defeats Local Rival.

ANGWIN, Calif. - Women's Basketball (1-20; 1-10 Cal Pac) defeated California State University, Maritime Academy (4-21; 2-9 Cal Pac) for a long-overdue victory.

After a close overtime loss to La Sierra University, the Dynamic Duo (Jasmine and Olivia) entered the competition hungry for a W.

Jasmine Peete (SO/Riverside, CA) and Olivia Crigler (FR/Hebron, KY) were strong factors in the Pioneers' Success over the Keelhaulers.

Jasmine Peete recorded her ninth double-double on the season with 19 points and 15 rebounds. Olivia Crigler following closely behind with 15 points.

Three Pioneers recorded 3 assists in their 58-45 win over the Keelhaulers: Olivia Crigler, Samantha Foong (FR/San Francisco, CA), and Elissa Root (SR/Ventura, CA).

Faith Williams (SR/Oxnard, CA) and Huei-Anh Spencer (SR/San Francisco, CA) also ripped down 11 and 8 boards, respectively.

The Pioneers will appear next in Redding, Calif. for their last road game of the season against Simpson University on Saturday, February 15th at 6:30PM.
