Strides in Southern California

Women's Basketball gain confidence and experience in three-game trip to Southern California.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA – The Pacific Union College Women's Basketball Team (0-8) fell short in Southern California against the University of La Verne (4-1), Life Pacific University(3-5), and Westcliff University (3-8).

University of La Verne –

It was a career night for Senior Guard Elissa Root (SR/Ventura, CA) as she posted 21 points and 7 assists in their loss to the Leopards.

Other notables include a double-double by fellow Senior Faith Williams (SR/Oxnard, CA) (13 points, 12 rebounds) and 14 points by Freshman Olivia Crigler (FR/Hebron, KY).

Life Pacific University –

Elissa Root continues her weekend with double-digits scoring recording 25% of the team's point total.

Huei-Anh Spencer (SR/San Francisco, CA) also led the Pioneers with 33% of their total rebounds for the contest.

Westcliff University –

Another Career Night for the Pioneers as Senior Forward, Faith Williams records a career-high double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds.

Elissa Root keeps steam moving forward as she nets 12 points in the final game of the road series.

The Pioneers will return after Thanksgiving for a rematch against Oregon Institute of Technology Owls on Sunday, December 1^st at 2:00 PM.
