Recap from our Coach

Cross Country Championship

"The Championship race which was held in Fresno, CA, was a race full of loud cheers and excitement. There were a total of 12 teams and each team was ready to compete at their very best. UAV and Embry Riddle had the top finishers for both the men's and women's races. Yet, our PUC men's and women's teams weren't far behind.

Our men's team was led by Junior Matthew Ocegueda, who came in with a finishing time of 30:52, which helped the men's team reach their overall goal of coming in below the 35-minute mark for the men's 8k.

Our women's team was led by Sophomore Alma Ramirez, who came in with a finishing time of 22:59. This also helped the women's team reach their goal of coming in the middle of the pack for the women's 5k.

Lastly, Josue Hilario and Mani Chavez-Duron were awarded champions of character awards!

Overall, I am extremely proud of this team! They've all worked extremely hard to get to where they are today, and I couldn't ask for a better team! They've all shown dedication and motivation to compete in this sport and I cannot wait until next year!"
