Men's Basketball Finishes Season Strong

Men's Basketball finishes season with a win in the south

Men's basketball finished their season a couple weeks ago with a 75-71 win against La Sierra University. The men finished their season with an overall record of 4-17, and a conference record of 4-8. After losing players to COVID, and having to postpone several games, this team continued to play and fight hard until their teammates were able to rejoin them. Their most memorable win of the year was against Embry-Riddle in which they won 82-80 with only five healthy players. They finished the game with only four players, after losing one to fouls. They took several games to overtime and had many close wins. Overall, the team this year showed a lot of heart as they battled through different adversities.

We also want to recognize the three seniors that were on the team this year: Chris Jones, Victor Wariso, and Malik Skillern. Jones and Wariso fought hard on the court this year, and the men's basketball program is going to miss them. We also want to continue to pray for a swift recovery for Malik, and continued comfort for his friends and family.
