Rocklin, CA-- The sixth seeded Pioneers headed into the
first round of the Cal Pac Conference Tournament with great optimism. They were
matched up against the number three seed, William Jessup University, who they
had previously defeated back on January 21. Unfortunately, the Pioneers fell to
William Jessup, 73-68. In his final game as a Pioneer, senior forward Josh Jewett
had one of the best games of his career with 25 points; he led all scorers for
the game.

In what looked like a carbon copy of Thursday's loss to Holy
Names, the Pioneers women's basketball team was unable to keep pace in the
second half, eventually falling to Menlo College, 55-71. It was the Pioneers senior night, in
which they honored Carla Bartlett, Lara Canders, and JoAnne Mauries, who played
in their final home game. Their
losing streak extends to 10 games, with three games remaining to put an end to
that streak.
