playing for Gold Cal Jrs. Volleyball Club for five years and NCVC for the past two years. Danae has had two trips to the Junior Olympics with Gold Cal 15-1 and was invited to participate with the Gold Cal 18-1.

Throughout high school, Ford was acting captain for the El Dorado Cougars, who won the Sac-Joaquin Section Division 3 and made a second round appearance in the Northern California State Championship. She was awarded the "Best Offensive Player" and was selected "All-League" for the Sierra Valley Conference. Ford was also selected to participate in the Optimist All-Star Volleyball game.
