ANGWIN, Calif. – The PUC Men's Basketball team sent their seven seniors off with a victory in their final home game of the season Sunday afternoon against La Sierra University. The 19 point victory gives PUC a season sweep of the Golden Eagles and keeps them in the playoff picture.
The Pioneers started all seniors to honor them in their last home game and they did not disappoint as they opened up a 13 point advantage with 9:07 left to play in the half. The visiting team went on a run in the final minutes of the half to cut the PUC lead to five.
The Pioneers started the second half slowly allowing La Sierra to tie the game early. But after a timeout, PUC was able to get back on track and open the lead back up to double digits. With just over a minute left, the Poiners would have their largest lead at 23 and by game's end won 79-60.
Senior Damon "Doc" Jones, Anthony "Skip" Adams-Rule Sr., LeRoy Anderson, Quinton "Q" Hamilton, Kwuan Guerrero (SR/Los Angeles, CA), Chad Young (SR/Carson, CA) and Greg Brown (SR/San Pedro, CA) have all brought something unique to the PUC Athletics family in their time here on campus. Coach Greg Rahn has nothing but positive things to say about all of the seniors and their families on and off the court.
The PUC Athletics Family would like to thank all of our Men's Basketball Seniors for all of your hard work as student athletes during your time here!
